Minting NFTs

Create a test mint

Before minting your new NFTs to the Ethereum, Polygon, or Solana blockchains, it's a great idea to use a testnet mint to see how your NFT looks. Initially test mints will be on mainnet but we'll include the ability to test mint to test net in the near future.

POST /v1/projects/{id}/test-mint

//Returns a 202 Project minting was accepted for processing

Once you're satisfied with your brand spanking new project, mint your tokens to the destination wallet address.

Minting all tokens at once or on demand?

You may have noticed in the API references that you can mint both at the project level as well as the token level. Minting at the project level will mint all draft tokens at the same time while minting at the token level allows you to mint individual tokens (aka "lazy minting"):

POST /v1/project/{id}/mint

//Returns a 202 Project minting was accepted for processing

If you however would rather the tokens be minted individually on demand, like during a checkout process on a marketplace, a different call can be used to mint a particular token to it's minting address:

/v1/tokens/{id}/mint

//Returns a 202 Project minting was accepted for processing
